So they're having a ValentiNe's day party at my work. I have to smile and put on a happy face with everyone and act like I enjoy the get together and food. Inside I feel so depressed and with my depression and I'm irritable although I try to hide it. Ugh I just want to crawl in a hole and be away from people not in the midst of a crowd. Happy people irritate me. It's not that I don't want them to be happy I do, it's just my depression, I don't enjoy anything, I'm having social anxiety and this party is hard to be at. I'm Hiding in the bathroom right now.

why don't you just go home saying you forgot to do something there or that you are sick. no one can force you to stay at a party

sorry I didn't explain that well. I can't go home, I'm scheduled to work 2-10pm. I work at an assisted living home.

My parents are having one at our house tomorrow. I hate the questions of "so what have you been doing?" and then sometimes you have to laugh when everyone else is cause they're looking at you! I just don't find many things funny, but I make a fake laugh. I'm like you I would just be fine to be left alone all day.

Hang in there! I also have difficulties in a Social environment! All you can do is your best and if they don't like it, balls to them!

My day...today...misplaced my debit card...didn't realize it until I got to the register after shopping to a full cart.
