I had posted yesterday that finally I found a therapist, I was so relieved you have no idea.  They called today and said that they are not in my network, after all.  I was sobbing on the way home. I feel broken.

Oh no, I'm sorry that happened.
Don't give up. Does your insurance company have a website? Sometimes they have websites and you can do a Search for doctors, and they have a list of ones that are in-network.
Keep trying! I know it's hard. But it will be worth it.

Doctor shopping for the right therapist is an adventure. Rest a bit and keep looking for the best doctor/therapist fit. BIG HUG

A good place to look for a new therapist is psychologytoday.com. They list the insurance companies that they accept. i'm so sorry that this happened. That happened to me once. i was in desperate need of an appointment with a psychiatrist. They called and canceled my first appointment because trees were being cut down. i really didn't believe them. I came home, drank a beer and took a nap. I cried too. Hang in there.

Yeah, that is a good resource-it's where I found her. I tried another one but got the run around. Wow, been calling around and no one seems to take Optum/United Behavioral Health.

I had that problem, too. Booked up or not accepting new patients. Have to keep calling. It only takes one!

Does your insurance have their own website? Their website should have a way to search for doctors/therapists that are in-network.

Can also call your insurance company and ask them to e-mail you a list of in-network therapists, too. I had to do that to find a new dentist and they sent me a list of names and phone numbers.

Keep trying! You'll find one!

    I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon
