Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I slept till 2pm today. I woke up several times past noon and I just couldn’t get out of bed. It took me like a half hour just to get the strength to go get a coffee. I feel like by the time I actually start my day I’m already exhausted. The people around me don’t understand how hard it is just to go to the store. Once my brain starts running it’s all over. I walk around in a daze like I was drunk. I figured it would be better sleeping late rather than wake up early and start the misery earlier. Bad choice cause now I’m up and it’s after 1 and while my body is beat for the day, my mind won’t stop. I wish that it had an on off switch just one time so I could just be. All I want is to break out even ya know. It’s like im striving for mediocrity and even that’s impossible. I don’t know what to do anymore. I can usually but on the happy face and drudge through the day. Now when I reach down for that little extra umph there’s nothing left in the tank. I’m out of ideas and it’s scary. I don’t know anymore

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

The other thing that helped was I needed to play around with my diet. I found that some foods zapped my energy while others seemed to fuel me. The one I found the most helpful was cutting out most dairy products and of course, sugar. These were two of my favorite things. I also increased my water drinking. I was never a fan of water but staying hydrated was a huge boost to my energy level.
I hope these suggestions might help and just know that I'll be praying for you. Praying you find the strength, comfort and peace of mind you are looking for.
Rather then letting ourselves hit our usual bottom...we need to catch ourselves way before then. Then come up with another new normal.
It seems like you're doing just that now!
Sending you light and love!
It sounds like your at the point of needing to see a doctor. I dont know if your on medication now but sometimes a sleeping tablet for a few nights(they arent recommended long term) can help you to get into a better routine and help you rest.
Take a bubble bath before and read in bed these things will help you relax and unwind.
Hope things start to look up. Sending much love and positive vibes. X
Also, being physically active early in the day, or working, etc., can help you to get on a more manageable sleep/wake time.
The happiest people are those who are conscious of their spiritual need. The best friend anyone can have is God, who provides wonderful help in his Word, the Bible. Psalms 34:18 "God is close to the brokenhearted;
He saves those who are crushed in spirit.
