Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

or a therapist.
1. Have someone look at your resume and get some good feedback. Font, presentation, organization, help. It should look good.
2. Include a cover letter with every response.
3. Research your employer and explain why your talents will help him.
4. Check the public portions of your Facebook. Make sure they look professional and delete or restrict anything controversial. One woman looking for a substantial wage rate had a prominent lock her up post about Hilary Clinton on her Facebook. Putting aside political views, I just felt this was not good judgment.
5. Not too heavy on taking routine tasks and expanding them- took typed document from employer, transported it without impediment, arranged for utilization of governmental courier service, and completed process resulting in successful transmittal to stated recipient (I mailed a letter).
6. Be upbeat and well-dressed, a dash of cologne.
7. If you are asked for some type of additional information or followup, do it immediately.
8. Smile and appear impressed by your employer, let him talk or even brag. As my grandmother said about running a successful bar, you're the best, is what people want to hear.
9. You're better of narrowing your search and sending a few carefully directed submissions than a bunch of dear recipients.
10. Consider working for one of the online companies like upwork in the meantime.
Good luck,
