Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Hello everyone
I'm new to this and am not quite sure what to expect. What I do know is that even when all is as right as I can expect I still feel lower than low. Totally drained and as though living is an effort. I have other issues that make life challenging but I don't seem to be able to smile, laugh or even be optimistic or positive about anything anymore. I've always turned to humor to feel better and was able to look at things and see that my life could be worse and be thankful for what I do have; which is a lot. It's been a long while since I've been able to do this. It's all too often now that I feel like I'd be better off dead. I have a lot to live for and offer to others but I have this massive weight bearing down on me. Not sure if anybody else feels this way.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

The group I was going to disbanded with Covid and it doesn't look like they are going to be getting back together. I know I shouldn't take it personally, however, I feel myself doing just that.
