Life just doesn't seem worth living

It all started because I regretted ending my relationship with my fianc. I've had depression since I was a teen, so I'm predisposed and those feelings of regret have led to another episode of depression. I'm seeing the ex again but I'm still depressed. He hasn't decided if he is ready for a full commitment again and I feel awful I've ruined my life. Him and could've had a great life together and now, I don't know if he will. He's not ready to trust me again and I don't blame him. I cheated and then dumped him. Now I've been trying to get him back for over a year and he says he wants to try it with me again but like I said hasn't fully decide yet. We see each other about twice a week and it feels forced, not like he wants to see me but feels obligated. We had such a good relationship at one time and I ruined it. Now nothing seems worth it. Dishes, laundry, bills, homework are all piling up and I spend most of my days on the couch.

We all make mistakes ... some are repairable, some are not.

I think it would be a good idea to consider seeking a relationship with someone else. This one does not seem to be going forward.

I am sorry for you pain. I am in midst of breakup I have mixed feeling about and it's painful. I often have similar feeling. I am not greatest at advice on this topic but try focusing on you. I don't do well on that one myself.

I never have a relationship. i think life is not worth living too. Try to appciate the things you have. The things that you can enjoy in life. Do not give up on life. Do alittle by little. Like doing some dishes, take a break. Then do some laundry, take a break. And so on............

Don't feel that you did anything wrong. In life we all go through things and question if we did the right thing. You should not be so hard on yourself. If he is the one he will understand and will walk with you on your journey. And if not with time I am sure you feel find the person who deserves you. Smile, you will be alright.

I have thoughts like that often, if I get my time machine built I will lend it to you. I'm sorry you feel it has ruined your life, maybe it wasn't meant to be :(

I am sorry you are having such a hard time. Are you seeing a therapist? Have you and your partner considered going to therapy together?

Honey, can I be totally honest with you? You said that it's been a year and he is still trying to make up his mind? I feel as though he is just placating you and will drag your feelings on forever, until he thinks you will give up. You are a good person and deserve to have a man that wants you now and doesn't have to think about it. Please remember that you are worth more than you are receiving. Hugs GB

This is a miserable place in your life. So sad and the depression makes everything so negative, but if it does not work out with this person maybe it will mean someone better is in store for you (((((HUGS)))))

Yeah, I ruined a wonderful relationship that way. Hurts, I caused my own heartbreak. I didn't get a chance to work it out. So, good for you. Perhaps you should look into working on your guilt. I know I had plenty of it. Your walking on eggshell right now and that is not good for your relationship. Have you two talked about this? Good luck to both of you.

I can understand that. You sound like you love thos man very much and he made you happy at one point in time and its ok to only want to be with the one you love. I say fight for that and do what you have to do to prove to him that you want to make it work. This is not unrealistic. I hope he sees the light and you both be happy together again!!

    I'm horrified!  I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000.  I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter.  I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change.  Now this!  I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000.  I guess I have to pay...

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
