Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I am a 30 year old male, turning 31 in about a month. I was diagnosed with Social Anxiety & Clinical Depression around when i hit my twenties but have felt depressed, lonely and hated myself since early school years. Meeting new people is very difficult because I always worry what others think of me and feel I don't have the social skills needed to carry a conversation or hold one's attention though I do try my hardest. I have never had a girlfriend and the times I have fallen for certain women in the past, they didn't feel the same way. When I try to open up my deep feelings to my close friends, I can sense from their body language and voice tones that they are uncomfortable and would rather talk about superficial stuff like TV or movies and give me "advice" like "things will get better in time, just don't worry about it" and "you're worrying over very little". I feel as if I don't belong on this earth and like I'm some sort of alien trying to fit in with the human race. As of the last 3 months I have found that my hobbies and interests are no longer fun or remotely interesting and find myself wasting away dreading tomorrow rather than living for today. I have had suicidal thoughts in the past but have been too scared to attempt it. I tired of the trying and tired of being tired. I'm pretty much destined to endure the rest of my lonely life like if it is a prison sentence. Currently I am at the lowest I have been for a while and feel there is no one to talk to or understands. I just wanted to get this off my chest. I am not necessarily looking for advice or answers, I just wanted to let it out so if you even bothered to read this then I tearfully thank you from the bottom of my heart.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Other things like going for a walk outside in nature. Mother earth would love to connect with you because she has had it rough also....the way mankind has been pilfering her. Go for walks and connect with nature. I can almost guarantee, it will make you feel better. As you heal yourself, each step you walk on mother earth will heal her as well.
As far as relationships go with the opposite sex, I would just try to focus on that person in a positive way, be very liberal with complements and always be humble. Never brag and never dump my problems on that person and never blame. Always practice forgiveness and unconditional love and that's a recipe for a long relationship guaranteed!
If you need anymore help, don't be afraid to ask!
