I started taking Latuda for depression about 4 weeks ago. The first week I didn't expect to see any results but my mood was much more stable. I had more energy, more motivation, and overall felt great. By the second week, however, I started to experience jaw clenching, unusual tongue movements, and I noticed my facial expression was a constant snarl. Has anyone experienced this? I was hoping maybe it was all anxiety driven and started the Latuda again about a week later. Within 1 1/2 weeks I had the same symptoms but additionally, felt like I couldn't sit still and felt like I was going to jump out of my skin. I am wondering if anyone knows of a similar med (preferably not an anti-psychotic) that has similar effectiveness for mood without the side effects.

The Friday before Labor Day just before we left, the options given to me basically were either quit of be fired, and if I were to stay on I were to be put on an improvement plan, which is pretty much synonymous with getting fired. I was going to do the improvement plan and just ride it out until I found another job due to money and due to the fact that I did not want to quit without another job....

The key is to keep taking them as directed by your physician. Most side effects will work themselves out in about 6-8 weeks.
If your symptoms persist, please call your doctor's office and let them know. I am sure they can assist you in finding a dosing that works for you.
I wish you the very best!
