Right now I'm sitting in a empty room at work alone. I'm supposed to be cleaning paint of off cabinets and windowsills but I can't bring myself to do anything. I've been sitting here crying for the last hour. This feels almost like a waste of time. My dad is out today because he has a doctors appointment and I'm supposed to be saving money for when he's out of work for his operation in a couple months but I've been trying to look into some sort of therapy, but I can't find anything that will take my medicaid, and because I need to be saving money I don't feel like I can afford it. The morning was fine for a little bit but I just started to break down doing nothing. I wish I was just at home in bed. There is just too much.

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

I’m sorry everything’s so hard, I understand, you are not alone. I am on Medicaid & I actually ended up finding a therapist through calling a helpline. It was a domestic violence helpline as I’m a (trying to be) survivor of domestic violence. But I was very surprised to have found my therapist through them. My situation is just an example I understand that you are not going through DV, but there are lots of different kinds of helplines & maybe giving a some kind of crisis line or helpline a call you can talk to someone & tell them your situation & ask them if they know any programs or therapists that take your insurance. also maybe try calling your insurance & see if they know any.
Anyways, sorry I’m not telling you what to do, I was just surprised when I called a helpline & got a therapist through it & hope maybe something like that can work out for you.
Don’t give up okay. & it’s okay if you got to cry sometimes, I cry a lot to be honest.
Sending support & hope

It really upsets me when I hear about providers not taking Medicaid or Medicare. I have noticed a new trend--many providers are taking private pay only. As a social worker this is upsetting. It seems like coming up with a system where providers need to take X amount of Medicaid, Medicare and pro bono clients makes sense. I understand that the insurance companies (complex and slow billing systems with low reimbursement rates are partially responsible for this. I guess this is all part of our broken health care system. Have you considered telehealth therapy? You can look for someone in your state who takes Medicaid and see them online. You could also try NAMI
