Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness?
Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and expectations. Be the clearest person in the room.
It's like a portal to extract the nonsense and increase the dose of common sense. People shape up immediately.
And like many of you, I hate having to explain myself, because I shouldn't have to as the competent and independent woman that I am.
Intentionality is something I practice indefinitely, so my external values should reflect my internal values.
Provoking emotions which range from depression and a sense of hopelessness to anger and resentment is not good for anyone and should be avoided for wellness.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I do find that speaking clearly and meeting my own needs helps when I feel depressed or lonely. I have to tell people what I want or need from them and speaking calmly and clearly and directly helps them know how to help me.
