I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only.  It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals.  I have been wanting a new dress.  I like dressing up sometimes.  My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant.  But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again.  I went through this in the fall.  I bought baskets, a bathroom rug set, towels and two expensive blankets that I haven't used yet.  Today, I bought things that I do not need but the prices were unbeatable.  Now I have 12 more wash cloths in addition to the 12 I bought not that long ago, beach towels that I didn't need, all in the name of a deal.  Where can you get 6 nice washcloths for $2.99?  Where can you get nice beach towels for $6 or $7?  I bought 4 lipsticks between Thursday and Friday, which I didn't need.  So now I have 10 lipsticks.  Only one is low.  I love lipstick.  My brother is in a similar boat.  He goes thrifting once or twice a week.  He has an abundance of clothes.  He keeps saying that he has to find something else to do with his free time.  We are both single, long term.  We love the thrill of the hunt and making purchases, especially bargains.  Oh well, it's 8:30.  I have a few things to do before bed.

I think many people are like that too. For me, I buy milk tea, coffee and massage.

Thanks Peter! That's great that you get massages. I haven't had a full body massage in over 15 years. I do get 10 minute chair or hydromassages at Planet Fitness. I get on kicks with hot tea but I drink Arizona diet green tea every day with two slices of lemon. I should drink more water. I'm really into coffee. I drink it in the morning and at night.

Tired, share your tips for saving cash! Life is so expensive. I was taking stock of my life. I did the math and realized I have spent over $40,000 in auto gasoline in the last 25 years. My post high school education was about $150,000. I’m working the numbers to figure how much I’ve blown through rent, utilities, automobiles, credit debt and entertainment (at least $40,000 at the casino…. Glad I’m over that addiction)


My mom was hilarious. She would only feed a slot one dollar at a time. One time I watched her get change for a five dollar. I told her I thought the smallest the changer would accept was a$20

Thanks Tired and Mel! Mel, that is a crazy amount of money that you spent on gas. I have mostly traveled for work so I can't imagine how much I've spent for gas. After this post, I spent another $53 at Kohl's online. I got a beautiful bedspread/quilt and some earrings. After that, I spent $2.13 on a Wawa iced coffee since I I drank all of my diet green tea. Then I got gas, which is going up again here. Today, we might be getting Wawa hoagies again. I will treat, using my app. That will cost $12.79 for two hoagies. I have very little grocery shopping to do this week. Last week, I only spent $6 on groceries. Did I need 3 bags of pretzels? No, but 3/$6 couldn't be beat! So this week, I won't be spending much money at all. I really did get great deals at Kohl's.
