I am feeling blue today as I am watching people post all over facebook mourning my father in law who passed away 2 years ago today.
I have lost my grandparents and my father and did not grieve much for any of them. In say a few days to a week I was fine and felt no desire to cry anymore. I accepted their passing and don't really miss them. I sure don't think about them on the day they died every year, nor do I realize when it is their birthday.
It feels like another way I am an outcast in the world and that makes me feel so sad, when their deaths didn't. How weird am I?

Everyday I feel more and more sick. Being in pain every day, I've learned to disguise it. So well that others don't believe my pain when I speak of it. Needing help but only receiving negative responses, I find my way but pay for it later. I absolutely need the rest but there's pressing things to be done.

Ugh my depression is really being triggered by the grief of losing my mom. Ugh it sucks. I wish this pain would leave me already.

The fact that you brought them up tells me that you think about them, which means you haven't forgotten them. I'm guessing they would have wanted you not to mourn their passing and to move on with your life. Wouldn't you want your family to do the same for you?
My dad's parents I barely knew so I don't give their deaths much thought. Even my mom's parents I barely think about.
My best cousin I remember all the time. We were very close and losing him almost killed me.
It depends on the relationship you had with the person I think
Even if that person is you!
Gentle hugs!
Occasionally I will dream about them and wonder why, but it does not cause me grief.
Sometimes you got to tell your mind to stop grabbing onto drama, and thinking that the difference in how you handle death is something to be concerned about is a drama grasping way that you need to let go of, so you can be free to have some peace.
Be grateful you're surrounded by so many caring Facebook friends and even though you may feel nothing, at least appreciate the fact that they feel something.
when it is the end, then it is the end, nothing can stop it as it is just the end. Sad is the culmination of a bunch of ends, or ends that need not be. I am inferencing a war or suicides here, and deaths due to murder....yeah can't leave that one out. And, then there are accidental deaths... I guess there is a whole set I am implying but as for natural......
It just happens, does not make you abby-normal at all because you most likely have thought about your demise already... I know I have. Though I try not to project what and how I think/believe on others I myself do not find what you have proposed as a question of death dates in any way....
Fact is when it is time to ring the bell the bell you toll is for yourself.
