I am feeling blue today as I am watching people post all over facebook mourning my father in law who passed away 2 years ago today.
I have lost my grandparents and my father and did not grieve much for any of them. In say a few days to a week I was fine and felt no desire to cry anymore. I accepted their passing and don't really miss them. I sure don't think about them on the day they died every year, nor do I realize when it is their birthday.
It feels like another way I am an outcast in the world and that makes me feel so sad, when their deaths didn't. How weird am I?

I cry more when my beloved pets die. They are the ones who loved me unconditionally and who I spent lots of time with.
Like others have said, I think it all depends on your relationship with that person.
