i got called into school today, when i got there social services were there, apparently a 14 year old girl who is close to family has been abusing my daughter aged 8. my daughter wrote this in the green room, "mum i feel a bit funny, she touches me everywhere, and she says things like lets do this and that and i dont want to mum, im not letting her into our house again, but im worried it will happen again " ive cried and ive screamed and now im just numb. what the fuck do i do ? ive blocked the girl from phone and internet so she cant contact my girl, but shes a kid herself ? my head is trashed, one part of me says shes a kid also the other part says but its my baby you touched ?oh god what do i do ?
sheeeesh.
sadly, in this day and age, a 14 year old has been exposed to adult media for years already. it's the 14 year old's parents that need to get their kid help. that's what i would do.
get ahold of those parents, sit down and figure out a plan of action.
unfortunately, this is what probably (and statistically) happened to the 14 year old when she was eight.
get help fast. treat this as if your child is bleeding to death, run dont walk to the therapists office.

My 8 year old knows about sexual abuse and can talk to me anytime about it... DailyStrength is a site for help, but that doenst mean it comes free and clear and without constructive critism. I happen to think this woman needed a jolt of constructive critism and if it piss people off - sobeit.. Maybe she will learn something and start talking to her child more.. Because, in my humble opinion it sounds like her daughter will be another teen Mom... Doesnt seem like that mother talks much to her daughter.. I hope she learned something.. GET CLOSER TO YOUR DAUGHTER... TALK TO HER!!!
And to demean this woman for not keeping an eye on her child...? The perpetrator was a 14 year old girl, ffs!

You're initial response didn't sound like constructive criticism. It sounded like a harsh judgment. Something a mother doesn't need to be told so soon after a traumatic event. The trained teachers won't be saying such a thing. No one else has said such a thing. Even if what you say has merit, the timing of such a criticism was insensitive, at best. Vile, at worst.
