This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

this will be sad to some..
so..don't continue if you'd rather not hear something like that right now.
this was such a strange coincidence (I've had quite a few of those lately)
I had just asked..I think , yesterday...
someone something about our old friend Sandy
( a member of the board who died a while back, for those who don't know. )
Anyway..
today..I forgot the "members online now " function of the friends page doesn't work any more. well..mine doesn't ? hasn't for a long time..so..don't know how I spaced it.
and..
there was Sandy's goofy cow Avatar that always made me smile.
..and..of course, I feel saddened.
because I think Sandy should have lived longer.
...because there are things I wish I'd said to her
so..
what the hell was this post about ? i have no idea now
thank you
hugs

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

Tomorrow is National Massachusetts Day!Have you ever lived in or visited Massachusetts? If so, tell us what's great about the Bay State!

Your point I believe, is you miss her as do so many here.
I think it is a good thing to bring her up every now and then to honor the contributions she gave to this room.
it does tug at the heart strings
and she does come to mind a good bit
for me Sandy and I use to talk about tv shows and so want to ask her silly things about what she would of thought of those shows, she was also supportive and kind and you could go round with her about something and than she was kind enough to let move on saying CP was like family
I wonder how her family is doing and I wish them well

I hope her son and husband are getting by okay. She certainly enriched the lives of those who knew her.
Sadly, although I have Tim's cell number he only picked up once after she passed away and we spoke for about 30 minutes. I was choke crying because I could barely get out the words to say how sorry I was that this happened. It surprised us all and was definitely unexpected. Tim assured me him and Conor would be ok so I have to be at peace with that. I mourn her friendship every day because it left a deep hole that can never be filled.
Love and hugs to each of you!!
you're right, Toni..
it is nice to talk about her.
i still go to her profile sometimes...feeling like something is left unsaid or ..
I don't know..
but..it's nice to "hear" people talking about her.
I'm glad you guys save her avatar, too.
she was one to let tiffs go.
the best laugh I remember getting from her was her...happy...reaction to her odd response to her ..shoot...can.t think of the name of it...the spinal cord stimulator implant...
haha...not a lot of folks would have told the whole board about it... ;-)
hugs
.
I'm sorry you lost your friend. It's nice that you mentioned her
Pinterest..
I'm so sorry for the loss of your Dad.
i can only imagine it makes it somehow worse to not even be able to talk about him. I know we shouldn't...to the extent that it's possible...dwell . on grief and loss...but...certainly. I think, we should remember. hugs.
thank you, Beauty..
I know you were Sandy's cyber sister...and how sad for you to lose that in addition to your own health concerns.
thank you all..
it is nice. to just talk.
I know this isn't about pain..
I try to..at least fake sticking to the topic most of the time..
I just really felt like remembering her with someone.
hugs

It made me so mad...I thought he let her down big time by going away and progress might have been taking her to hospital if he had stayed...But then I have to remember GOD is the key to when someone leaves our living world and Enters HIS Kingdom....
it was GOD who asked Sandy to come join him....for that I am sure she is in good place now....she had just returned to church a few months before because what she wanted was thru GOD....
thanks JC for bring it into my mind again today....hugs
all I can say is thankfully her son wasn't home and didn't find her and it was rather odd to my understanding for him to be out of the house and with Tim gone no less but again more questions than answers
say what you will but I think its just sad and my thoughts remain with her son and her husband who is left to raise his child without sandy
never will look at waffles the same again lol
I still have her avatar and look at it and think ofher often. I was at my mom's memorial service on Mother's day when I got the call about Sandy. I talked to her a lot on the phone and she actually was one of the first people here on the board to welcome me and made me feel like I belonged.
She'd call me sister all the time, and said I reminded her of herself in a lot of ways. I pray her husband, Tim and Conner are doing well. I know she adored Conner and worried about a lot of people here on a daily basis and wish she were still here so we could have a few more laughs together. Thanks for bringing her up.
Hugs,
