my long-time shattered arm has been hurting extra bad the last few days
the bursitus in my hip has been flaring up at the same time
and something new over the last bunch of days (maybe its been creeping up on me for weeks)... all the large bones in my body hurt
the big bones in both my arms and both my legs, my shoulder blades, and my skull... i can feel their outlines... they all hurt... i dont know why
add to this the daily stress's and struggles of daily "life", the crushing depression caused by the constant pain ive been in for the last 17 years... and all i can think about is how to end it
unfortunately, i already know, theres only one way to end the pain... and thats just not an option
but i dont know how long thats going to be true...

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

Tomorrow is National Massachusetts Day!Have you ever lived in or visited Massachusetts? If so, tell us what's great about the Bay State!

but i dont say much cause i try not to dwell on the pain... and i just dont have any advice for others on this topic... dealing with the pain has been a constant challenge for me and ive just never been any good at it
the only thing i know to do is distract myself from it but thats just not working anymore
youre right... its not my choice... and im doing my best to remember that... but i just cant take the pain anymore... something has to happen... anything... i just cant do it anymore
I can so much relate to this pain - the weather seems to set off my fracture pain in every spot it was broken - my jaw, tib/fib, and the knees where a took a hit when i got thrown off my motorcycle.
I am so sorry that it hurts!!!
im sorry you hurt too :(
*hugs*
If you tell a doctor this, they slap you with a FibroMaligia (sorry, spelled wrong) diagnosis. But I know that I don't have muscle pain, it is bone pain. I find that it is stress and pushing myself too hard that brings this on.
My current happy place for pain is using my OTC TENS unit from IcyHot... it is wonderful!!! Hubby and I trade off using all day long.
The other thing I find that helps is a hot bath with Epsom Salts. Make the bath just as hot as you can take it and melt...
hugs and loves
yaldim and critters
and if stress is whats gonna bring it on then im just screwed cause theres nothing but neverending stress in my future... specially if stress is gonna do this to me
i give up
Glad you are here, but sorry that you need to be. Keep coming back, it is helpful.
I hope you have a peaceful, relaxing and low pain evening.
no, none of my family or friends has any idea how to react to me when the pain gets really bad... and to be honest, im glad they dont have a clue... i wouldnt wish this on anyone
they took away my dr when they forced this craptastic insurance on me... but none of them have ever given a damn... when i asked the dr who was supposed to put my arm back together what i should do about the pain that he said id be in for the rest of my life, he said, and i quote, "get used to it", right before he walked away, while i was still trying to ask him questions...
id really love to have a cat, but, i cant work, and cant get on disability, so i cant afford my own place or a real pet... i did get some fish recently... i saw i was about to go broke so i spent a few $$ to at least have some reason to wake up every morning... but its just not enough
i dont see any other recourse but to give up
but unfortunately, giving up just doesnt help
so yay for another 40-50 years of pure hell!
glad you can function through your pain, but, oh well
im gonna make things easy and stop watching this
thakns for the kind words all, i hope you all have great days
I hope you get some relief soon.
but i try to keep in mind that pain is pain and its not fun for anyone
im sorry for being so dispondant yesterday with this thread... i dunno how much better im doing today, but i think its a little bit at least
pain level is still a solid 7 or 8 tho... maybe 9 at times
*sigh*
thank you all for all your kind words
*hugs all around*
Pain drags us all down sometimes. I have days I can't get enough umph going to even talk to my hubby - I want to just curl up and pretend life does not exist! Vent and rant all you need to! We are here for you.
FYI - when you can, the TENS unit I was talking about is $35. Trust me, I understand being broke!!! I have been going back to college for the last five years and hubby has been out of work for almost three... we are living on charity.
hugs
