I forgot to mention simultaneously.

My Ex stayed the same, its me who changed. I am a couple of years younger than my ex and I was young when I met him and all the issues & habbits I never noticed or cared about. But, as time went on and I grew up I started to really see who he was...and I realized that he wasn't going to change, I can't change him and I knew life was never going to begin for us.

I think the only thing that changed was his mind. He no longer wanted what I wanted. He no longer wanted our marriage. In most ways, he is the man I married, but he did comprimise his morals and integrity, by finding the OW.

he was a constant illusion- changing every day. Ended up being a worthless piece of shit in the end- but then again- he was always a POS in the beginning. Abuse is abuse is abuse- you cant see thru the fog until its too late.

Mine went from kind, humble and fun to a total jerk willing to railroad anyone in his way.

Very different. Became crabby, impatient and unappy with the world, then turned all that on to me. He treated me like a princess for 18 years and then in the last 2 there was no connection at all. I agree, there's aliens out there who steal the real men and leave these crazy people in their place!

We married when she was very young. Over 19 years, my ex changed by growing to be confident and independent. This was wonderful. I changed as well, in some ways good, in some bad. Through it all we generally stayed on the same path.

On the other hand, she developed bipolar disorder over the last few years. When she went into an episode, she would spend thousands of dollars, hide her behavior, and then decide she didn't love me and nothing could be done about it.

He changed 100%. He started out a loving, caring, "beautiful" man. In the end he turned into someone that I didn't recognize. Unemotional, mean, and ugly. I hope that one day he can look back and see the difference. maybe when his current wife cheats on him or something happens in their marriage.

Mine never changed, that was the problem. No matter how hard or how long {hours} I worked, I never made enough money for her.
I have a B.S in mechanical engineering, Master welder, journeyman pipe fitter. I don't make enough money???....
