Same person as always. I think I honestly expected her to be able to change. Should have known better, also shouldn't have stayed for 12 years.

Mine was a completely different person - like the person I married died and someone else took over his body. So sad.....

Mine changed the day after we got married. Then he changed again when he became an addict, between 1-2 years ago. He was never like the man I dated, as a husband... it was an act, apparently.

Mine hid his real self for quite some time. I don't think he morphed into a monster, I think he just became less able to hide it.

I dated my high school sweetheart who used to love art, movies, and had a passion for life. I broke up with a mentally ill abuser whose greatest passion in life was beer and cocaine and destroying everything he touched. So, no, not the same.
