I am with you on this one!!

Well, the Jesus thing irritates me for my own reasons but sometimes people just need to gripe or cry "poor me". Myself included. Its part of the grieving process as much as anything else. Even the tabloid headlines have a place. It can help up take our mind off the heavy situations a lot of us are in.

I do agree with some aspects of whats being said, i often look at a room and there is a room of one way comments, when there is a plausible two way view. i think everyone needs a little neutrality and less attitude telling people what to do, more offering of peaceful advice.

You gotta remember some of us are new here, and to us especially, it is wonderful to have someplace to go, where others know your pain, and grief. If you don't want to read it, then don't, but some of us have yet to get to a new place of healing. Just let us cry...not all of us are man bashers...not all of us deny our responsibilities, but not all of us are willing to accept the responsibilities someone else failed to accept. The thing I try to remember is it is support for everyone, not just those who think like me. I don't have much of anyone where i live, my family and friends are miles away, so yeah, even though I don't know anyone here really, I am glad to have somewhere to go, something to do, someone to talk to sometimes.

LOL your post cracked me up...no offense i agree with most you said....ah....just to set the record straight....."Curtis " does not seek you ;).............there does however come a time in life when we must vent......hateful and damning as it appears. the secret is having the ability to regroup your heart and move forward. life offers much more then the artful tactic of quick zings and soul burners. i've always found it helpful to look in a mirror...what do you see? your heart or the shadow?

what do you consider healing? talking, crying, bashing the stbx, prayer, christianity, i am doing it all and i am healing, as far as i am concerned this board has helped me in my healing, so i guess it's all in how you look at it.

I think you take what you want from this site - you can choose to participate in many discussions - whatever you want, or you my choose to ignore it - I personally have stayed away from the bashing ones - that's not how I react - I'm 9 months into this - so I'm at a different stage than others -Ive also considered my faults that lead to my spouse walking out - I've always admitted that it takes two for a marriage to fail - both are to blame, not one. I try to post things which I've read that have given me some insight and ways to heal myself - perhaps they are trite or contrived - I'm not really sure - but I've only tried to pass on something or information I felt help me see things in a better light - to move forward. For me personally life is too short to want to be bitter - I can't be towards him - I've two children - who are a part of him - good and bad. I have that much respect for him as a man - I don't like what he did - I'm working at forgiving him, forgiving myself - Life goes on and hopefully will get better.
I guess I will continue to post articles or things which I hope will provide some enlightenment or help to someone else - you try to reach out that's all.

I agree that sometimes I find more threads that are of interest to me than others. It ebbs and flows. Sometimes I wonder where I am in the process and definitely am coming at my divorce from a different perspective than most of the others here (ie. leavER and not leftEE). Still, there is just as much pain, it is just a different kind of pain. Some nights I just feel like being silly and enjoy the silly threads; some nights there is a thread that really hits home and I make new friends who share the same perspective. Im just curious if you're ready to move on or if there is some different line of discussion you'd like to see? My 2 cents.

b90..............take this with a grain of salt....for months the only talking i did was to curse the walls......never bashed the wife...cried in the shower........faith? either you have it or not......i have found true friends through this board....granted i don't help others as much as they help me...but then again a casted way penny is selfish.....but does appreciate the hugs :)

None of you know this about me, but I read and read and read for weeks before I posted anything.... then, one day, I felt A LOT better - I was laughing right out loud in the middle of the night (at mdse!), and I thought to myself... I haven't laughed out loud or found anything humorous in a very long time!! Even if she was calling her x a fucktard - it just sounded really hilarious to me, for some reason! And, I've been on ever since, getting to know people and feeling better and better every day! I even told my mom that this site is GREAT! I'm getting all kinds of things out of it - laughter, anger, humility, compassion. I don't always get to read everything, but the stuff so far has been heart wrenching at worst and gut busting funny at best! I can't see any reason to pay a shrink! I'm IN.

why do people insist on continuing to complain about this site. If you dont like it, simply get off. It's not rocket science.

People are healing. And dealing with new things...new emotions...venting. Take what helps you and leave the rest. It's just a part of the process.

BTW...I really was perfect. ;)
