I Believe you can get over it. I was here in 2008. Been off for a while, now back for support through a little rough spot. But once I got back on I realize my issues are so small compared to what I see here. I do remember that Pain. It's been 3 yrs and I made the mistake of jumping right into new relationship(s), yes 3rd one failed in 3 1/2 yrs due to my trust issues. I have been through much pain & feel I could have been much farther by now had I chosen to walk utterly alone while healing. I hope everyone that reads this takes heed of my experience. It is true some days are still difficult but I am far from where I was, have experienced much joy, and know only time separates me from Being Me & Living in Joy again. Those who are negative are in pain, just know that & look past it. Hold to yourself and things that are Healthy and Good for you and keep walking Forward.. You WILL get there if you Believe in You! And there are millions of people in this world, you CAN find love again but WAIT until you are Healthy and make Better choices this time around. Love is not Everything, it is necessary true, but Compatibility is required too. We don't think a thing of this when we are young. Let us be Wiser going forward..

I agree it's a choice - and a process.

I am not so concerned about getting OVER it. To me, getting over it implies some sort of understanding and I will never understand why he chose to be the way he is or treat me and his son the way he did. I don't WANT to understand that.

However, I WILL and AM getting past it. For myself and my son.
