I saw a documentary on tv about that subject. There are actually men and women in the world that have 0 sex drive. They have obviously a difficult time maintaining relationships. I cannot imagine and I could not live with it.

As for me a woman, I lost interest in sex because I wasn't getting any of my emotional needs met. My stbx was emotionally unstable. How can you give your body over to someone you can't feel secure with? When anything went wrong in our lives it was always my fault. Any tough decision I had to make. I couldn't respect someone who never took responsibility. I lost respect and in turn caused me to lose interest. Yawn.

Many men who have issues of intimacy have a hard time getting an erection or engaging in any sex act. Issues of control is another reason. Some men do not like when women initiate the act.

I stopped asking for sex after a couple of years - I got tired of all the excuses. This, in turn, made me feel ugly and fat and old. The next thing I know we have a few young lady friends we hang out with. Next to them I am not even worthy of a second glance. And then comes the internet porn - was on the computer all the time. And on the rare occasion I got some attention I felt like he was treating me like one of those porn stars - doing stuff I hated!! But until I read about it and talked to my counselor I had always blamed myself. It must be me, right? WRONG!! And I am so thankful that I was finally able to understand that sex is mostly mental and emotional, especially with us older people (over 40) as the looks we had in our twenties are long gone. It ended up I did not want sex either anymore. Why? It was not good, and I had no desire to please him as he made me feel ugly, fat and old. Come to find out, after he has been in therapy, he is not able to have emotional intimacy. He is just like his brother and father, alone and happy with that. As long as he has his computer he is fine. As for me, I sure miss it. But it may take a while for me to feel secure enough again to be that close to anyone after the damage he inflicted on me. He should have been honest. Instead he made up lies about why not. For that I have a really hard time forgiving. But I am trying to forgive as I really feel sorry for him.

Add to depression Diabetes too!! the sugar rich foods and high carb snacks really do a numbeb on your sugar levels, I am way more sexual now my sugar levels are normal, T2 diabetics are really prone to depression, and most of the time they don't know they are depressed themselves.

Arrgghh Men are human. Sometimes I do want ot whatch the football game or just be alone and or go to sleep.
No means no. It isnt personal when we say no.
Also if I said no three times in a row I know that When I said yes the sex would be sectacular.
It turns out if you are acuseing of cheating yyou prabably are or have cheated in the past.

I was told no a lot of the time. and I found out why..he was whacking off on his web cam for his video game playing chicks and when he wasnt doing that it was constant porn and "other" things I found. And yes, he was cheating.

Sex is a very important part of a relationship.

If it is a consistant problem due some counsoling.

Matt, I was only speaking from personalexperience on this one and proof. You wouldnt believe the crap I found in the house.

I totally understand "no" for good reason or once in a while and can respect that.

My ex couldn't have cared less - we went 15 years without it. The very last time we were screwing (just before I kicked him out I tried to get him reinterested) he went flaccid. Now I know why...he was already sleeping with the OW.
