Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
But I guess the sticky issue for me is divulging of secrets someone you loved, trusted you with, and may still want to trust you now.
But then what do I know? I purposely DON'T post the secrets in my situation and have been reprimanded for being mysterious on this forum.
You know, a breakup between people who love/d one another is going to be messy and painful no matter how you cut it. As amicable, respectful, dignified, ethical as you can make it, there will still be pain.
Kindness is always possible (right Bellazuzu?). You do what you need, and extend kindness where you can. You step on toes, make mistakes, and try your best again tomorrow.
You seem pretty good at that part Skwerl.
Missed point by a mile.
To get your frustrations and issues out in a public forum, you don't have to hand out ANY information. Stick to the facts, leave the drama out, and get perspective and advice.
Everyone is SO wrapped up in being RIGHT and making the other person WRONG, they lose sight of the facts.
Whenever I see a long post, I know I am going to be reading 90% bullshit/drama sprinkled with 10% facts.
Hell, I may have missed the point, but it sure as shit felt good getting that out.
I know I let my husband have it on here but better here where no one knows him than on FB or at church or something. When I first came on, he used to read my stuff. Of course he didn't like it so he stopped. Anything I write I would say to his face anyway and I don't feel like we have any confidences anymore.
