Well I did it - I went on my first date in 23 years with a guy I met on Match. It went ok, but I was so nervous I almost called it off!

I don't know how I am going to do this after being married for 20 years. How the heck does a person start over with dating when they are middle aged and no longer do the bar scene? UGH

Anyone else try online dating and had any luck????

I am SO MAD at my ex-husband for putting me in this position! (me-whining)

I used match.com and had success meeting someone. I went on a few dates with a couple nice guys but I ended up staying with one that I met last November and we are still together now. We started off slow because we were both recently divorced and have become really close. I think dating sites can be helpful since the profiles can answer some of the basic questions about the person (as long as they are being honest). I also do not do the bar scene and don't want any of my friends trying to hook me up with anyone so online dating has worked for me. Just be cautious on there because some people post really outdated pictures or good photos and then when you meet them in person they don't even look like the same person..haha.

#17 - The point is - any free site will be awful - you get what you don't pay for pretty much - So yes, Craigslist is among the worst.

But then again, you may have a good experience on POF - so it's according to who you ask and not so much about agreeing or disagreeing. I like my apples sour...you?

#21 - there are - just b cautious and open minded while using them. POF - OkCupid are free. Some ppl use craigslist - I do not recommend it unless you are looking for casual encounters. JMO
