He opens his spleen and insides everytime he's in the starting lineup. And he's not the most talented guy.
But he's got balls the size of coconuts and that's good enough.
Imagine the talent your Dodgers would have if they had Vic and Werth.
Werth has quite the following here now.
Manny is a natural player...
I am a natural drummer...
It just comes easy for him...
Just like Pujols...
I like Manny Ramirez. If he played for the Orioles, then I'd like him better...
Well, she filed a few weeks ago, he got messed up in the head and the company I work for fired his ass...
He just lost a job paying almost $100k per year, just because he was messed up from his wife dumping him...
I see crazy stuff and do my best to try and help people...
I just hope that everyone here has everyones back for shit like this...I got the feeling that everyone does...
Is this what you do when I am not around Road?
You having your own TD love/hate fest? How many fucking years of therapy is that alone going to cost you? Pull your fucking granny panties up Road, and get with the program. You know how it is. I will always be the smart brother, and you will always be the brother who has seen more ***** then a cat rescue.
Anyway, thanks for the compliment DAB, I look forward to more face time at the next Philly thang.
As for guys that won't emote? You'll never find love in it's purest form if you don't.
In all seriousness, people are people...(lets all start singing DePeche Mode now) whether you're an X or Y chromosome, it doesn't matter. I have tried to raise BOTH of my kids to be ballsy and to be in touch with and share how they feel.
'course the flip side to that is neither one is scared to tell me to piss off when I start to annoy them......
But, it's true... people are people...
Most of us have the same wants, needs, etc.
And, we're all human. We all screw up. None of us are perfect.
I've always been ok with sharing. In my marriage it was my ex that never talked... Hers was the world of "you should just know how I feel", and she always assumed she knew how I felt. And, sorry that is just bullshit.
I am not you, you are not me... And unless people talk, and share what they feel... no one will ever really know.
I guess that is the one thing I strengthened in this process... I learned to value healthy comunication. It's not just about expressing what you feel, but asking what they feel (and listening).
ANyway... good thread rman.
If you would have told me 3 years ago that I would have been spilling my guys on an online support group, I would have told you that you needed your head examined.
Maybe it was just how I was brought up, but keeping shit bottled up seems to be my default behavior.
Obviously, with my failed marriage, you can see what good that approach did me. I just hope my son doesn't pick up that John Wayne bullshit from me.
It is our fault they get pregnant
It is our fault they get low self esteem
It is our fault they are not living like princess
It is our fault for every thing.
