We dated for 3 years before getting married.. before marriage he already told me his parents are not friendly in nature and they used to control him. They will take all his money for their own personal uses and left him nothing.. and his parents will always be fighting even after 26 years of Marriage. Before marriage he promised me that he will treat me better and soon we will be leaving his parents house and starting a new life. But soon after marriage his attitude changed. He started demanding money from me. He verbally accused me. He even came to beat me. And started to behave like his dad. Initially I thought may be because we are staying at his parents home. So we both decided to move out of his parents home initially he agreed to it but soon after he again started demanding money from me or from my parents.. it's mentally torturing for me. It's been just 5 months into this marriage. I even complained to his parents that your son is behaving like this. But they are also supporting him saying adjust to your husband listen to him. In this 5 months he never got any gifts or planned even honeymoon for us. I'm clueless now.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

Please please call a "Domestic abuse hotline" (put those words into Google). They will be able to help you.
He is showing you his true colors. It's only been 5 months married and look how bad things are. They will only get worse from here on out. I worry for your safety and for your life.
Getting this marriage annulled and you getting far, far away from him, is what I would advise.
He will not change! And he will get even more abusive toward you. Please do not believe any of the words he says. Actions speak louder than words.
Call the Domestic Abuse Hotline for anonymous help with this.
Take care of yourself. Please.
You saw how his parents were and they were his main influence growing up. Key indicators of how an individual will be in adulthood or in a marriage are how his/her parents act toward their partner.
Your best getting out of it now before kids come into the picture so pack your bags and get out of there. He hit you it should be over. DONT TAKE HIS WORD HE WON'T DO IT AGAIN! Just GO!!
Does he work or is he a bum? You deserve better than your getting.
Are you telling your parents the whole truth of what is going on in this marriage?
You need to tell your parents that he beat you, and that you fear for your safety. You need to speak up for yourself!
Call the police if you need to. Your life and your safety are more important than this abusive guy or what your parents "think you should do". You need to speak up. Your LIFE is at stake!
