As I said already, I wish Obama luck and this term is make or break for the democrats. I will support him as the president of the United States and I hope he fixes the stuff that is broken. If not, I bet they stuff that was thrown at the Republicans for the last few years will be dumped right back on the Democrats next time.

Anyway...it is all a mute point. We ended up over there and there is no quick fix for getting out of there. The region is very unstable and pulling out immediately would be a bad idea.

In all seriousness...How do you guys think that Obama will treat the retreat out of Iraq? You know that it is coming so how we keep the current Iraq government from being overthrown and being taken over by someone worse then Sadam?
Obama has definately walked into a rough place. Talk about sticking your hand in a hornets nest. THere is a looming economic crisis, some HUGE foreign affairs that need attention, and many other problems that he will have to encounter starting on day one of his presidency.
And let's not forget the deadliest terror attack on US soil - the Oklahoma City bombing - perpetrated by an American soldier. We should have invaded ourselves.
The other known fact about WWII is that if the US had invaded Japan, most of the citizens would have also been hostile and they would have come at the soldures. It would have been a nasty invasion and a lot of the people would fight to the death. A lot of historians say that dropping the bomb actually saved a lot of American Lives.
I spent most of the evening reading the Koran and burning flags until finally McCain conceded and joyous shouts of "Death to America" echoed across my neighborhood. I celebrated Obama's win by performing an abortion for a same sex couple before hitting the streets to hand out drugs to school kids. I hear that all day Friday, if you drop off a bible at Starbucks for them to burn, you get a copy of "Communist Manifesto" and a gift certificate for the morning after pill.
I can't wait to raise taxes, increase the government, hand out free welfare to illegal aliens, teach kids that drugs are good, and just generally let the terrorists win. I plan to spend the weekend palling around with a domestic terrorist (not sure if Palin's Husband is free) and see if I can't find an unnamed anti-semite or two for a beer.
