At night if I am occupied, in the gym, at supper where ever texting is easy to do and does not distract from my conversation with my co workers.
When we both have time though we sit on the phone. When I am at home like this week here, we see each other as schedules go.
But I do not get the superficial comment, why would a relationship be superficial if they text?
Just kidding. I was just feeling contrary.
I don't like long ones - just short clips.
My husband never did do them and still doesn't - doesn't respond to emails either. 44 - you would think he was 84!!!
Your choice to voice it and not explain it I guess
In reality, I don't like texting much. I rather hear the voice and I like the the personal/human touch. You can be more expressive with a voice.
Texting is no way to try to have a relationship with someone - especially when you're first getting to know someone in a dating scenario.
I had been out a couple times with a man with whom I went to high school and had re-established contact through MySpace. We went for drinks once, coffee another time... conversation was good and I thought there was something there that perhaps would go somewhere. He had called me the first time to arrange when/where we would meet, but I NEVER heard his voice again. He texted and texed only. I had tried to call him a couple times and left voice mail messages and he responded by texting. I never agreed to go out with him again. I don't want a relationship OR a friendship that exists only in text!
But I do agree it has made our society nuts! In fact most of our tech. has made our society less face-to-face and nice.
I can still remember as a kid of tea time....my mother used to visit with her nieghbors. Now, do we really know our neighbors anymore? Do we really care of other people and want to get to know them?
