I have been in a relationship with the same man for ten years now. I am at a point now that i just want to move on but don't know how. It is a more a relationship of convenience than anything . we don't live together. And will not be able to due to his mother. We see each other once a week if we are lucky. But he keeps me waiting .there are nights he could come see me but doesn't bother . there was a time when he and i were very much sexually active. Now it doesn't even exist .i could go on and on .i am just not happy anymore .

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
It is always best to listen to your heart. But then, who started it all? So many times I've wondered in my own arguments, how long has this been going on, and where did it all start? Certainly does not help if his mother is involved either, only triggers more flaky ways. I only suggest that you remember the things that really matter the most.
Best to you! <3
I doubt you envision the relationship getting any better, so you have 2 choices.
1) stay and waste more of your life, or
2) go and start living your life.
Thankfully, with the help of my friends who constantly giving me advice, I was completely healed emotionally. Please try to talk to your boyfriend and whatever decision you may come up to, I pray that you will have peace. Please keep us posted. God bless.
"Peace exists inside every person, and it is up to us to make it flow freely, so that it can illuminate life with its presence, and give us the strength necessary to triumph over all obstacles."
A teaching of a rare quality, dedicated to all those who thirst for peace, justice, light and love -- and who are, above all, ready to take action.
Break off the relationship and don't have any contact. It will hurt, like all breakups, but look onward. Please don't make the mistake of a) going out to dinner, b) have sex, c) talk on the phone, with this person after you break up.
The best thing is a clean breakup regardless of your age, etc. Learn to be happy and do things on your own. Don't depend on the guy to be happy. It takes time to heal a broken heart, or letting go of the "getting used to" part. Don't try to jump into another relationships (what people call rebounds) that just creates problems for you.
I hope you heal, and in the process you spend a lot of time with yourself (and family and friends) and discover the joys of being happy and admiring all what you have and your worth (hint: we are invaluable).
Lots of care and love.
