Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
How old are you?
I get the feeling I may be too old.
Hmmmm, have you heard the cougar?
lol
Someone to go to church with me. someone who can tear themselves away from the tv for a spontaneous walk in the park or a wrestling match...whatever comes up. someone who has a motorcycle to explore the unbeaten paths, likes country/bluegrass music, going to festivals of all sorts. and someone who will cook. (i'll do the cleaning) most importantly, just have fun...life is just too short. also, they have to be faithful and honest and be truly in love with me, and with us as a couple. is that too much to ask for?
Communication is the key, you have to find someone who you can really communicate with. Someone who you can share your innermost feelings, and not feel ashamed, or judged.
You only get out of a relationship, what you are willing to give.
We all want someone with the same interests and desires. Someone we are attracted to. But without Communication, a willingness to work on a relationship, the willingness to sacrifice for a relationship, attraction alone will not get you very far, or make you happy in the end.
Just my 2 cents. ;)
The most important qualities;
honesty
a drive to be a better person
all about family (his and mine)
compasionate about others, even those they do not know
intelligent enough to have a stimulated conversation
of course mutual attraction/decent sex life (I'm shocked about these ladies that said a big penis, its sooo much more what they do with it!!)
layed back but with some spunk
considerate
I wouldn't mind a good cook and housekeeper of course but this isn't necessary
does not focus on money and wouldn't care if I made more than he did
a great hugger
loves adventures, being outdoors

nooo.. tastes like chocolate.
Loves me 'Just the way I am'
That being said, here are a few things that would be an added bonus in my perfect mate.
Will laugh with me, or at me (lol ;))... just as long as we're both enjoying ourselves.
He must get along with my daughters.
He must be supportive of me and not enjoy putting me down, hitting me, choking me, throwing things at me, tackling me, trying to humiliate me, or being abusive to me ever.... and especially not in front of my children.
Is able to love unconditionally.
(This is what I told stbx the day that I left him. "All I ever wanted was for you to love me, unconditionally.")
Is capable of relaxing and enjoying spending time with me... not only in a sexual way, but just having fun together.
Wants to take romantic getaways with me and not just family vacations.
Doesn't always wait for me to say "I love you." I want a man that is capable of telling me and showing me that he loves me on a daily basis. Whether it's with a phone call, a loving look, or just a kiss.
Can go on a vacation, shopping, out to eat, to a movie, or just stay home without totally stressing himself and everyone around him out.
Tries to see the positive instead of the negative in everything and everyone.
Doesn't correct everything that comes out of my mouth, especially since I'm usually right. ;) lol
Can have a disagreement with me without yelling and berating me.
Acknowledges my feelings when I'm sharing them with him, instead of telling me it's B.S. or that I'm full of crap.
Hugs me without my having to ask him to hug me. Also, doesn't think this is going to lead to sex every single time.
These are just a few things... of course the financially stable, hard worker, trustworthy, and stable... these go without saying. :)
