Today was one of the worst days so far this year... My Boyfriend has decided to call it quits after putting me through some emotional abuse and we are expecting a child. I need some advice. Im going to be a young mom and I don't know how to tackle it.

Wow, You are young, Do you have family that you can talk to. Do you have a therapist that can walk you through this. And a lawyer, Even though he walked out, he can and should still be held responsible for that child. You look after yourself and your child. His needs and wants do not count. He showed his true colours. He is not one that you can trust or respect. Close that door and do not open it to him ever again. I made that mistake and still ended up divorcing him 25 years later.

I do have family that I can talk to and I am working on getting a therapist but no lawyer just yet. I hope it doesnt have to come to that but it may have to.

I'm sorry you're going through this at a time when you should be celebrating the baby you're carrying. It's a very special time for you, try to cherish the moments feeling the baby move and keep a journal. It helps to get things off your mind and vent your feelings. As for the lawyer you will need it. Don't trust his word, get him to help you financially officially through the court. I didn't do that and now I'm struggling while my ex lives free from his responsibility to his kids. Don't trust he'll do the right thing. Just let the lawyer handle things and be done with him. You can do this, I have faith in you and will pray for you to have the strength you need for you and your baby. If you need anything please keep in touch.

Yes, get a lawyer now. If your ex thinks he can just up and walk out on you like this, then he will find out soon that he will be financially responsible for HIS child for the next 18 years. That he can't just up and leave you two, and get to go on his merry way with no responsibilities.

I'm sorry you are going through this, and so young at 21 years old. Do you live with your parents? I hope you have family that can help you. It would be great to have some help with the baby, especially in the beginning.

You can do this. You will be okay. Don't let that guy back in, he might try to come back, especially because he won't want to have to pay money for the baby when the court orders him to.

You already see he is capable of up and leaving at any time and you can't have that, or put your baby through that. You are going to be just fine without this guy. Please let us know how you are doing.

    I'm horrified!  I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000.  I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter.  I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change.  Now this!  I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000.  I guess I have to pay...
