Hi everyone so I met this really great guy and we hit it off and started dating for a short period of time around two months but I really connect with him and just feel so at ease with him and I know there are other people I'll meet but I could really see long term with him): problem is he's only in my state for college and is leaving in two months and he decided it's best to end it now so it doesn't hurt as much when he leaves and I suggested long distance but he's sticking with his decision because of mentally not being able to handle the stress etc of a long distance relationship plus the career he's going to be getting into will take Alot of his time and he doesn't want to hurt me. And I can't and won't try to change his mind it's his choice and I've already tried to suggest alternatives and I have to respect his decision. But I need advice on how to feel better I've been trying and it seems like nothing is helping and I know it's selfish but I can't help but just wish there was some way I could change his mind or we could make it work but I know that's wrong and don't want to try to change it:/ I'm just confused and we both need time to process this it just hurts a lot right now ):

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

Your guy made the right choice. It will hurt now, but that's okay. Soon, you will want to date other guys, but don't worry about that right now. Concentrate on your school, talk to your friends, go out with your friends, spend time with your family, take up some new interests and hobbies. Keeping yourself busy and active will help to get through this.
And you're right, we can't change another person's mind. You are going to be okay!
So the best thing to do is go on with your life, busy yourself with other things and give yourself time to adjust.
Try to look at it as this is all it was ever meant to be, and no more. It will remain perfect in it's little box, you part friends, and there's a lifetime of wonder about how it could have been, instead of eventually getting an "I've met someone closer" letter.
You sound very nice and you'll meet the right person, but if he did not think it was working he did the right thing. Actually I tried to break up a year about 10 months she convinced me to stay together and a breakup then would probably have been better. I think you will meet the right guy and this will just have been a bump on the road.
