Here is the scene. I am in the living room at my laptop on a coffee table. My dad is in his recliner watching T.V. My mom is on her desktop.
My Mom asks me where she can find a certain video on her computer. Of course, I explain youtube to her. She is enjoying herself watching videos on youtube and I was showing her how to search for stuff.
When my Mom is listening to music my Dad keeps turning the volume of the T.V. louder and louder. He has a set of headphones so I suggest numerous times for him to put his headphones on. No, he can't do that. He is just so damn ornery that he keeps on doing this. My Mom finally turns her computer off, without saying a word, and she leaves the room. He asked her what was going on. Apparently he thought that the music was coming from my computer and that was why he was acting like that. End of story I have now evacuated the living room and my Mom has left the living room as well.
What a asshole. I got so fed up with his crap like this the other day that I told him that he was an asshole. He wasn't like this until about 6 months ago and now he is trying to control everything. I realize that this is a sign of depression but he won't get help or listen to anything that is said or suggested to him.
He can act abrasive to me by he really needs to lay off my Mom. She has already put up with enough of his shit to last two lifetimes from the last time he went off the deepend. He is lucky that she ever took him back. If he continues this could get ugly.
Funny, but until 6 months ago my Dad and I were very close. He is not acting normal and I don't recognize him. He is just not himself anymore. He has turned into a HUGE PRICK!

It's Tough
My mum has been diagnosed with Severe depression and in hospital right now
we saw the signs also but you can lead a horse to water...pity he won't help himself as believe me it gets worse.......
I understand you love your boat, but you are living in your parents place unemployed and complaining about being there.
You will find someone better, just look for inside qualities. I am sure you will get a job, it is important to believe in yourself, despite the hardship, it is you who counts. That's what I keep telling myself. Hugs.

He is borderline diabetic and he isn't controlling that, he talks about not living more than three more years, and he is just so damn controlling. My Mom and I joke and call him the general.
Ugh. Sorry but once the weather breaks I am moving back to the boat. Job or no Job I would rather be cold than deal with this shit.
Yeah, I am living with my parents, but I had my Dad living with me one time for a few years and I got him a job and got him back on track after he had three strokes.
