this is the worst bout of depression I've ever had. I can't function well. I have terrible aches and pains mostly in my back and sometimes in my shoulders. they also appear in my legs. I want end my life because I can't stand the pain anymore. I have a lot stuff on my plate. I am overwhelmed. I take lithium and effexor. Yesterday I got some valium form my pdoc. It helps a little. the nights are the worst. I get really freaked out.
what is happening is that my husband was diagnosed with a cancerous ulcer. The doctor is pretty sure it's just in the one spot in his stomach which is good. He was suppose to have PET (total body scan) today but it was cancelled because the insurance hasn't approved it. I'm very scared about all this.
I have a teenage son that has adhd and aspergers. He is smart but demanding. I've been helping my ex mother-in-law because she can't really walk. I don't want to leave her without help but it is getting to be too much for me to do. I'm going to ask her if it is all right if my son helps her after school for a while.
I would like to know how to get rid of the aches and pains. I've tried ibuprofen but it just takes the edge off.
I don't want to hurt my family but I'm afraid I will go crazy if I don't feel better soon. I don't want to go the hospital because they don't have a psych ward so it's a waste to go. Please help! I'm sinking fast!

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...
I'm sorry you're in so much physical pain and up to your eyeballs with family issues.
Helping your ex mother-in-law is very noble but if you aren't in a good place, I think it is detrimental. It's great if your son could help her out but, if not, that's one obligation you need to set aside for a bit.
How aggravating that the PET scan got delayed. I know that must be adding to your stress and anxiety. One thought that helps me in those times is that I have a limited supply of energy, concern, empathy, etc. I don't want to waste any of it until there is an actual situation to use those resources.
You may not have a psych ward in your town but there has to be something in Portland.
Hang in there and let us know how you're doing. We care!

Is it possible that you may also need a med tweak?
I think you should try and lighten your load and if that doesnt make you feel better, find a hospital..you dont need to suffer.
Although I'm not of a particular religion, I LOVE the phrase..."Let go and let God".
One moment at a time sweetie. We are here for you (((((JennS))))
much love

Keep doing what you're doing!
Please pray that this direction works. thank you. ((hugs))
would you consider taking a narcotic drug, like codeine, for the pain? sometimes ibuprofin just doesn't cut it. onc3e the body is not in pain, the mind can follow.
I get a lot of pain too---My best tools are to stop denying it and start taking care of it. I know it sounds ridiculously simple, But most of us have not learned to take care of ourselves or listen to our bodies. I am a registered nurse and this is me. Caring for all the world and not myself.
The pain wants to be acknowledged-- to have a voice. write about it. pay attention to it. talk to us about it. nurture and care for that afflicted part and parts of your body-- your being as a whole.
And you are under extreme duress and STRESS. You can cope with stress if you use simple tools and do self care.
Food is important. Delicious nurturing healthy food. Don't feed your body junk.
Get as much rest as you possibly can.
Soak in a hot tub with a couple of cups of Epson salts in it. You can put in a peppermint tea bag or two for energy or a couple of bags of chamomile tea for rest and relaxation. Or both. It is a cheap spa experience.
Get a loofa and dry scrub or wet scrub your body. I swear that this wakes me energy wise. Use a calming body lotion like Aveeno. Give your self a facial.
Use ice packs on any parts that hurt for 30 minutes. Follow it by heat.
Take 10 minutes twice daily to meditate or pray. Sit quietly and breath in and out. focus on your breath.
I hope you feel better soon and dont "go crazy" (Ihave had those fears at times myself!! and worried about lock up)
I will say a prayer for you too. Please feel better soon.
Great big hug of comfort for you.. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers..xo
