I had a great Thanksgiving day, didn't do a thing. I was ready to go to the post office to check snail mail when sonny reminded me it was a federal holiday. Oh well!

I am here when I can have time at the computer. Busy working and sleeping for work most of the time now. We had our turkey a few days early since my dad defrosted the turkey early.

Had a good time with family and friends and lots of food. Went to work at 7:00pm to 12:00 midnight. Store was very busy.

I am here...spent most of thanksgiving on my own...i'm dreading christmas. this is my first holiday season without my beloved husband.

@Sun - we did go out - as 75% of the household is from the US. It's probably easier here because I guess the restaurants are all booked up in the US

I had an okay Thanksgiving. Having anxiety issues so it was difficult. At least I ate some turkey. Hope you all had a good one!

I am overseas, so the time difference is extreme. Your morning will be my evening. I am thankful I found this site. Where I am now, there are no support group for widows.

I have no problems providing support for widows, the orphan and the homeless. I consider my compassion to be inclusive no matter diagnosis or circumstance. Ripped, some life circumstances require grieving either for years or a lifetime. Do what you need to. We are here for and with you.

@ Tommy - I have no issue either, I am a Widower myself - however it's odd we've had 2 members of widows who posted previously only in Widows posting here in the past couple of days. So my thought is something odd has happened on DS and I'm trying to find out what.

For the first time in many years it was a really happy Thanksgiving free of family drama...a great meal, congenial atmosphere, really great food. I made some apple tarts, a new green bean salad, and a special cranberry sauce. All of it got devoured! Joy was in the air all day long...

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
