My digital camera won't work

A friend gave us a free digital camera. You can take pictures but you can't pull the pictures off the camera. I got a new perm and I wanted to show everyone on DS what my new perm looked like and I can't even show it to them because of this crap camera. I am so pissed right now. I won't be able to join the costume party because I won't have a costume and I wont have a camera to take the picture. I am sad and pissed at the same time. Anyone ever be both sad and pissed??

Maybe you just dont understand the technology and how to pull pictures off your computer.

Do you have the appropriate software? Have you looked up the specs and usage of your camera online? If your camera really is faulty can't you send it back for a new one?

How can you be pissed about getting something for free (unless its like, a beating, a bill, or bad news)

I installed the propper software and my computer recognizes the camera but we've taken some pictures already and when I upload the camera and turn it on it says there's no pictures available when there really is.....it's retarted.

Is the data stored to a memory card or the camera itself? You should be able to troubleshoot it out.

Look on help forums to see if anyone else has similar problems with your camera (surely someone has) and see what they were instructed to do to fix the problem.

There's always a way to beat technology.

It's stored on the camera itself......I will look again and see if I can figure this thing out before I ask my friend if she has the receipt for this crappy thing......thanks again for the motivation treeshrew.....

Princess, can you view the photos on the camera itself? There is no actual "memory card" in it?

No.....I go try and view the photos I go to the get photos on the camera option and it says there's no photos available when there really is.....I am ready to give the thing back to my friend so she can get her money back......it's a JL2005C digital camera and it doesn't work and I can't find any trouble shooting on the internet for it either it's royally pissing me off Shelly and Tree.....

Princess............I am asking if you can view the pics on the ACTUAL camera............if you cant, then there is no memory card in the camera to save the pics on. Did you look to see if there is a card in it?

if you stored the pics onto the cameras hard drive and have a memory card in it too take that out before you try to download stuff

if you know images are on the memory card but the camera won't download buy a digital memory card reader that can download the images when you put the memory card into it. The card reader goes straight into the computer and they are really inexpensive to buy.

There might even be a card reader on your computer already. Mine has one that I just slip the card into and it reads the card and downloads the pics.

It's a really cheap digital camera.....doesn't come with a card reader or a card reader slot on the camera. There's also no way to look at it.....no separate screen there's just a small tiny view finder on the dang camera. It's really cheap and cheesy......I want my friend's money back!

Um, yep, that could be the problem..........cheapness, haha........sorry Princess, I cant help you then. YOu are probably right, it isnt working and if its cheap, not worth fixing. Hugs

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
