Anyone have lamictal causing a manic or hypo manic episode



They are becoming very rapid

I remember I took lamictal a long time ago but I don't remember how
it made me feel. I took so many medications back then
that life was all a blur. I hope you can find the answers for this.

I've been on Lamictal for 25 years and it's been a great mood stabilizer and has always helped my manic episodes.

Yes... I really liked it however I was often sort of wound up and I virtually stopped sleeping.... I dozed at night but stayed on it due to liking the way I felt

the doctor finally agreed with or should i say the nurse p but there is but there is nothing new to take for me tried others did not work better

i really do not care now been on it over 20 yrs just a little side effect for me including the tremor

I don't remember how I felt on Lamictal/lamotrigine. It got rid of my depression but I don't know if I was hypomanic on it. It caused severe muscle stiffness/rigidity for me so I had to go off of it. But when I was on Abilify, I definitely got hypomanic on it. So, I believe it is possible and even likely, bywena

Just have to watch for mania if it comes to that. Doubt it no time to build into mania. Just have to go with it

I was put on in a few months ago. I am not really sure if it is working. I have days where I feel great and on others I am depressed. I am only on 125mg at this point, but I was also coming off four other medications cold turkey when I started the Lamictal.

the tremor is worse i plan on asking the doctor for an old drug i was on it helped my heart and tremor it is a beta blocker inderal the tremor was not as bad and i assumed it was haldol or elavil which i was taking a high dose

since it helped before it may be an answer

also stress does not help have ti find ways of relieving stress both for physical and mental health one thing that it help the psoriasis which i am treating with lotions and natural oils it does seem to work for some reason the benadryl that i take for the itch helps the tremor it was what the old np gave me for the tremor it does help when i remember to take it helps a little with sleep so now just the tremor//

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
