Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Some then tell me that they are concerned for me...saying I have " shit in my veins ".=, meaning the meds.Like they care that I am being controlled.
I take a deep breath..try to bite my tongue...fail..then bite their fukn head off ! Oh the rage is sweet sometimes hah xx
They are great at projection, it helps them feel better about themselves. The thing about being a drunk is that all the preaching, praying, multiple (orgasms) baptisms and love won't help them stop drinking. They have to want to quit more than anything before they have a hope in hell.
When I take my 1500mgs of Lithium nightly my wife always lectures me about it. Due to costs my pdoc gives me 300mg each of the Lithidum, so I take 5 every night.
The same philosophy is true with my other meds. So if you look at each pill I do take many pills. But if you take into account the mgs I take a reasonable amount.
Your right though just try educate her a bit and if she is the true friend you see her as then she should understand.
Id also mention the duality of what she was saying to you. Double standards and all that. Fine for them to get high and drunk but not ok for you to take one extra xanex a day. Poop.
Hope it works out.
Idk, I guess you could take it as concern.
Best thing is, u don't live close by to her, or u could develop a problem, by the constant influence of partying.
lol
I did send her a message, I told her that I know it wasn't her intention to hurt me and that I believe she was truly concerned, but it did hurt. I have yet to receive a reply.
But that is my issue, and no one else's and I'm working on learning other strategies (diligently) so that I'll (hopefully) someday soon be able to be taken off of it.
I loathe that feeling that starts showing up nearly 6-7 hours after last dose...
Do what you can about the Xanax, and as for them, I'd highly recommend AL-Anon books for understanding the behaviors and putting things back into perspective.
Especially readings on detachment. Helps much with controlling people who are simply that way because they themselves feel out of control.
Good luck. With Xanax, we'll both need that, too. :-)
