Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I feel like I'm just running away from myself. I started Seroquel a few months ago after finally going to a psychiatrist and it stopped all of my symptoms over night. At first, it was great to finally have relief. But about a month after, I crashed. It just never felt right. For my entire life I've felt so strongly, so to have it all pulled away was such a shock. It really shook me and the feeling hasn't gone away. When I'm running around I can ignore it. Outside me hasn't changed but inside me feels gone. So I've been doing my best to always be somewhere, doing something. I never want to go home anymore. Most days, I'm fine. But when I'm alone, I feel empty. I spend my days just trying to fill myself up. My therapist says this is normal and should even out and that I'll start to accept and get used to this deafened way of feeling. When I brought this up to my psychiatrist, he only told me that it was better than my life before and that I should be grateful. I feel guilty for feeling this way but I can't seem to shake it. I just miss me, however fucked up that person was, I miss me.

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

Embracing and nurturing a new self is a leap of faith. Will it ultimately be an improvement or am I just ushering in a new flavor of hellish dysfunction? We don't get to know until we give it an honest effort.
But that is me. . .
Gentle support while you figure out what it is for you, Jenny.
And, and, and-- it's okay to feel how you feel right now, to be struggling. I think especially with bipolar, there is a lot of identity wrapped up in the experience of bipolar moods. Just remember-- YOU get to define you. Nothing else.
I started this,so long ago I don't remember how I felt when the m3ds were first started other then relieved...I had no problem at all with acceptance however I know that this isn't the case for everyone
If you find the meds are too strong for you
Jenny you can always discuss it with you doctor
Have you had any problems with acceptance?...xo
