Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I would rather have PTSD, BPD, OBSESSIVE COMPLUSIVE DISORDER, or any other personality disorder out there than have some damn mental illness that I have no control over.
I have being Bipolar, it means I have no control over what goes on in my brain, I don't deal with that well. It means I have to rely on some foreign chemical to control the way my brain functions'.
Me, Wiccanwolf master of his own world. Oh and buy the way I have been Dx'ed with PTSD and BPD tendencies At least with behavioral disorders I can learn new ways of coping, learn to deal with theses anomalies by changing my behavior. Even when I have these things under control I still here from people:
Damn Will, you just ain't right, Will, your emotions are all over the place. Will you ain't thinking straight.
Is it possible that there is something actually wrong with this brain, the same one that has gotten me out of more jams and trouble than I could possibly express here. A mind in it's own environment is almost unequalled. A mind that has left more P'docs scratching their collective heads than I can count
I expressed earlier that I master my own world, over my own mind. I've done that by controlling who enters it, know that has changed so has the control I have over it. By letting others in it has screwed up my entire perception of my world.
How do I know learn to except that I'm mentally ill and not just spiritually ill (used metaphorically)?
Just venting (perhaps this should have been a journal entry)

They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

PS, Maybe I can get the lady to go
As Gina has written .. practice..
Perhaps when this struggle erupts have some information on hand to encourage letting go of control and acceptance.. Therapy will help wiccan...
I fall back on info regarding suicidal thoughts and depression.. Of course I know that it's part of depression however when it hits these thoughts can almost seem reasonable or unending so I have to remind myself that stability will come back and that this is part of the illness and I do so by simply consciously reminding myself of information that I already know but need reminding of when I'm ill..
Perhaps by reasoning out acceptance on a regular basis until the sense of it becomes part of who you are could help??.. (if that makes sense)
Love and a big hug for you W..xo
people don't have the answers but the intent sounds like criticism but really its frustration at walls you have built along the way..
you've walled yourself in your own impenetrable castle ..and you expect others to understand you..
work harder at pushing that ego of yours into the environment you have made a choice to live in...
accept the fact that we all want to be helpful and that's okay...
open your heart and accept the love you have in it to give...
you are highly intelligent...but alone ...what good is it...
we all do the best we can ...we are human...and sometimes that alone should be enough of an excuse as to why we all don't live up to our expectations of each other...
forgiveness is not only a word....it needs to be used as a tool to exercise the virtue of living in a world that does not really judge you as you do yourself and others...
Physical - End stage COPD, Brain tumor, Fibromyalgia and Neuropathy
Just saying it to prove my next point - I am not broken not by a long shot and the only sickness's I suffer from is the physical bullshit
Its all in how you look at it IMO
Gentle ((hugs)) shared.

It is hard for me to accept my mi too. I don't think meds help with this. It has more to do with having a higher IQ than not having the intelligence to deal with it (mi).
If you condemn yourself to a graceless life of spiritual perfection and prowess to deal with your mental instability, you will never find any peace or acceptance of yourself.
I'm not talking about meds.
Letting other people in is a symptom of your affliction, not the cause.
Or maybe I am just a dumb ass blonde that you have already figured out.

That's an avenue that's open to you, even as regards Bipolar Disorder!!!
The result may be more limited than you like, but it IS quite possible to effect positive change!!
Just focusing on that aspect of the illness, rather than the symptoms that still remain beyond your control is a good first step for making things better.
But perhaps it's your illness that's making you feel so hopeless and down about it right now.
Sigh.
One does the best one can. That's the most one CAN do.
That's all I ever want to say yet it's so meaning less without the other words to go with it. It's a credo I try to live by. It's the only thing on my to-do list. It helps keep everything K.I.S.S. for me but still some days I fall short of the mark or my best just isn't good enough.
It's when I don't even feel like trying that I feel the warning bells before I hear them from someone else. That usually pulls me back to my to-do list...when I'm done I hope to have it crossed off in the affirmative. But the list is indelibly stamped in my soul/spirit.
