Worried about my marriage and if it's going to survive this financial crisis......So I called up a friend to talk about it and instead of being
supportive like a friend should be she whined to me and was like why are you putting this on my head for....as if I can do something about it. She mentioned something about having enough worries on her own.....and she's close to my husband. All I wanted was someone to console me and tell me that everything was going to be allright. I should have came here and got the support I needed. Next time I need that kind of support from my so called friend she's gonna be the last to know about my problems. I am hurt severely and I don't want to talk to her about it and end up causing more problems. What should I do?

Well she called back and told me that my husband dumped on her too and she said that she was proud of me for dealing with it and not freaking out. Well obviously she didn't know I was freaking out and still am. I guess it's not as bad now because she didn't wig out on my husband and tell him that I was asking for advice which is fine with me. As long as she doesn't drag the hubby into the drama I am fine with it I guess. I am not as upset anymore.

She probably doesn't want to bitch about someone she's also friends with.

Probably as simple as that.

I wouldn't want to talk about one of my friends behind their back. And if she is friends with your husband, that's what she would be doing.

Sometimes we forget our friends have problems too and at times can't give us the support we are expecting. Just like us, they too may need to withdraw and just take care of themselves. If she's been there for you in the past, give her a break. Maybe she needs your support right now.

Thanks Barney yeah she's been there for me in the past. Maybe she just needed a little break and All I really wanted was some reassurance. Maybe if she knew that it would have been a little different. I am feelin better though. I decided to give her a break.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
