1) To the person who has been on here forever almost every subject under the sun has been done; but at no point do not allow that to deter you from posting what is on your mind.
2) Out of boredom people will begin babbling incoherently on other topics; half in jest or perhaps the original topic has brought to mind unrelated ones.
I have to tell you this particular thread is awesome despite the generic hijacking attempts at the beginning. I like that it is giving SB a forum by which she can express things which bother her at this time in her life. She's a quick witted and unique person and I've always enjoyed her banter back and forth on this site.
At any rate, thanks for accommodating as many others would start drama over it. Really thread hijacking is an integral part of any online forum and often adds flavor an additional avenues of expression by which users can network and begin to understand one another.
In time you will see the fuddy duddies who accuse anyone who disagrees with them or points out absurdities as being 'trolls' and really that is a short cut to thinking. You'll find in this crowd, honest and intelligent ./ creative people who have one anothers best interests at heart deep down. Be well.
I think you're great!

What I have always found amusing are the ones who are quick to paint another as 'troll' are the very ones latching onto current memes which have been used as trolling techniques in an effort to be 'interesting' or fit in with the status quo. I won't mention some of these memes but a cursory study of this board will yield quite a few. The most poisonous types are the ones who come off of the old UUNET and Fidonet networks and believe that somehow this makes them elite so they find it their mission in life to point at people who are attempting to stimulate a board for newcomers, etc. In Bipolar Disorder there are a number of misguided controversies if you will which are entirely absurd. The one which comes to mind is that often you will find a discussion about the differences between BP1 and BP2 and it soon ends into a flame war which completely disregards that BP1 can over time become BP2 and vice verse, as Bob's My Uncle adeptly pointed out there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to Bipolar Disorder. As we age our brains begin to slow down and hence this disorder follows suit. I do not think there should be some divisive war between the two types (irregardless of them overlooking the multitude of other subtypes) as we all doggy paddle in the same deep waters no matter what label is affixed to us. Most people on these forums are not qualified to interpret the DSM-IV and yet somehow believe that they can. My point is not to point out any one individual but more or less a commentary on how within any subgroup of people there will always be strife, drama, etc as such as human nature. At the end of the day we are all Bipolar and through observation of boards of this type I have come to the conclusion that some, not all, people with this disorder can be the most unforgiving and judgmental people you will ever meet. That is sad because we are the very same people who should be the first to forgive one another since we innately understand the variations of moods and behaviors which this illness can cause. We ask society not to paint us with that brush but then turn around and do the same to one another. Thus ends my epistle, there are good and bad apples in any social networking site but often the ones who put on the 'good guy badge' and try to reinvent themselves as 'defenders of the faith' are quite often the very same people who use this power to carry out their own vendettas and vilify others. This is why I am glad to find free thinkers, critical thinkers and people such as yourself who can see the comedy in it all.
