Friends vacationing in Hawaii. Prayers for all affected by this horrible disaster. It's been one after another.

Praying for them, that's a huge earthquake. May God surround them with his Merciful protection.

I pray for those dealing with trama to look to the all comforting, all knowing, all gracious, all loving God. I pray that they can take comfort in the arms holding them.

May G-d Bless all of the friends and relatives in harm's way.

I know it is so devastating. They say now that there was a 30 foot tsunami.

Earthquakes seem to be everywhere but the Ring of Fire which was the usual place for earthquakes seem to have massive destroying earthquakes.

The difference between an 8.1 and a 8.2 quake is about 32 times as strong. At least I think that is the mathamatical average?

Thank you Jess I am fine. Maui got the worst of it. I feel so terrible for all the people in Japan.

I just got on DS and found out about this terrible disaster. I studied geomorphology, and it is inevitable that when one plate boundary moves, it triggers a reaction all over the world. The earth is restless. I heard in the Chile earthquake it actually knocked the axis of the earth a bit. I am sure this one will too.

I have been praying for the people and hope that many survivors will be found. Japan is used to this, and many of their buildings are built to withstand earthquakes. But the tsunami is just something you cannot prevent nor take precautions about.

We have had many summer Japanese students, I hope they are all ok.

Heartbreaking... the world is surely in the worst state Ive ever seen in my lifetime.. God bless all who are suffering.. they are in my prayers..x
