Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I retained my personal creativity and was married to a good nan until he died.
I was in school to be an Astrobiologist. The study of life in outer space. But my ex husband tried to kill me and I kicked his ass out. Had to quit school and work full time. Then I got sick . . . . .
.I would like to think positive cause I just went back to school for the first time in 16 years for a 1 year cert. program. I hope I can handle it....I don't like to blame things on bp but its a fact that prevents maybe from doing certain things....I want to try to overcome this with determination but we'll see. nice topic!!!!
It's hard to have dreams and goals, and be held back by illness.
And I know so many people with no dreams or goals at all, and they are just fine, not that they should be sick....just, its a little aggrevating, that it wouldn't matter much if they were, cuz they're not doing anything anyway, and don't seem to want to do anything.
and they are content, to have done just about nothing in there lives.
It seems like I had more determination or that I wasn't as sick back then. I stay at home with the kids.
I need a new goal or something to strive for beyond the kids. I am not a very good stay at home mom and my last attempt to work outside the home failed miserably.
2 goals- teaching & writing.
Other 'goals' I had while I think hypo- like music, and other things I'm too embarrassed to talk about since I think they were just grandiose assessments of my talents.
Hard to know what's a goal and what's a pipedream sometimes.
