Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I've never really had the patience for sitting in a support group. And sometimes it can work to my detriment. If a person is in such a very far worse situation than me I start to think well..I guess I really don't have much of a problem. Minimizing my problem results in not getting any help.

At first, I did not enjoy going to support groups at all. I felt uncomfortable sharing my problems with a group of strangers. But as I attended them more, I became more comfortable and realized that I was not alone in my problems. We were all struggling. That in itself brought me relief.

I was in a cognitive group many years ago and loved it... It was the best therapy I've ever had... I agree with bbipolar that the feedback from the group was wonderful.. It was a small group with both a psych nurse and a psychologist and it was great
