A pool party at Dobies!!!... I'll bring the noodles!

YAY! Noodles! I love sitting on them - it makes me feel so light, light as air! Not the heaviness I feel on land....haha. As my hubby knows, only I'm allowed to laugh at my chubbiness.

When you said Noodles all I could think of was Ramen Noodles! Who want's noodles at a pool party?
I'm making Shiskabob...I need somebody on the blender to make Pina Coladas. How about a nice big Salad....who wants to be in charge of that.
And...I hope you all don't mind, but I'm putting on some Beach Boys records!

omg I LOVE beets!!! Did you know that ancient egyptians used beet juice to make the first lip color? I learned that in my fourth grade science fair project I did about cosmetics. Deep, man.

I've tried to do my eyes like they did, just for fun. But it never works out right. What was their secret?

Cold beets are good tossed w/olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt & pepper and a dash of onion & garlic powder. Great in the summer.

Has anyone ever had Fiddleheads? You can buy them at some specialty grocery stores OR you can pick 'em yourself. They are baby ferns. You pluck them from the ground when they are still all wound up tightly then clean and saut them in olive oil and sage -- they are WONDERFUL! Usually in early spring is when they're most abundant. Especially if you live near a wetland where there are lots of ferns.

Homework: Everybody look around your area and see if you have ferns. If you have ferns, before they become ferns, you have FIDDLEHEADS!!! Yay!
