i dont have much of a support network in my life so im thinking if theres anyone on here with relatively parallel circumstances who needs someone to share their grief and frustrations with , maybe we could help each other thru our shared darkest time . ive lost my mother and closest aunt to dementia since 2013 and my closest son to murder in 2016 . im very much alone . im a 59 yr old divorced man , live in central indiana , stone ass hill jack , love off color jokes and cuss like a sailor . i like canning and baking and my old ratty motorcycle trike . i only have one fairly close friend . she works with me sometimes on the weekends at the farm i work at but try as she might , philosophical conversation bounces off of her like water over a ducks back .
many people become scarce when faced with something like extreme personal trauma . i dont hold it against them but its not likely ill be available when they get smacked down eventually . ya get what you give in this world imo .

This week, I have been feeling a bit sad, a bit depressed. Since April, I've generally been doing well, so not a bad run of decent moods for about 4-5 months. The last few days, however, I've been plagued by thoughts of "what's wrong with me." What's wrong with me that I don't have a female companion now. It's been a long time since my last relationship. I don't sit on my butt waiting for...

Hey yall! I don't usually post or check in here though it's been on my list for years. My name is Sara and I live at home with my parents. Collectively we have four dogs and two cats. I am 35 and though I work 10 hours a week I am also on disability for bipolar. I've come here because I'm struggling to find someone who understands. I only work weekends so I'm home the rest of the week. Mom...

i was primary caregiver for my mother and aunt . when they are no longer here you lose your identity as caregiver . you get good at it and take pride in it . now with my son gone i dont seem to have a purpose . my son had a baby boy 8 days before he was killed . i cant reach out to that young man until i know who killed jake . if the right people are hinked up for murder i may very well be helping to raise the grandson . that would certainly restore some purpose in my life . a judge and the indiana appeals court ordered young " nicks " last name to be changed to mine . that could be in anticipation of who is going to be raising him .
let me put it this way ; if a parent murders the other parent in indiana , the killer parent loses all parental rights immediately and permanently . there , i havent accused anyone but i think thats the accepted ( anticipated ) scenario right now . i will no longer be hurting for purpose if child services places a 2 year old boy in my home . being a male doesnt for one moment disqualify me . it happens often .
its too bad that the math teacher bailed out on his prison sentence . the more i read about american justice system the more impressed i am . most sentences can be reduced by earnest participation in rehabilitive programs . those with no intention of bettering themselves are eventually shipped out to what amounts to decaying dungeons .
justice is moving very slowly in my sons case but the alternative is a hastily prepared trial that offers the possibility of a botched verdict . its a good case for being patient and letting the law build effective case .
theres a possibility that my son was victim of a conspiracy to kill and the triggerperson might have laid in wait . thats criteria for the death penalty in indiana and my county has used it before .
Big hug..... My mom had Alzheimer's and it's bloody heartbreaking .....xo
