My grandpa died 4,5 month ago. We were very close and he died the next day I left to another country to my studies. I haven't been on his funeral and I still can't believe he is gone. Everytime I talk to my grandma I want to ask how's grandpa doing and then I remember that he is gone. Everyday it goes harder and harder. I think about him everyday and I miss him so much. I just start realising that I would never talk to him again, that I would never hug him again, play chess and do many other things we used to do. He was the greatest grandpa ever and he was always there for me. I can't talk about that to my friends and boyfriend because they don't understand what I feel. And I know it's very hard for my family back home, I know it's hard for grandma and my mom and aunt and my brother. I try to act like everything is okay, but it isn't and I cry often and feel depressed. I also have dreams with my grandpa where he is alive. I never lost anyone so close before and I don't know what the best way to deal with that pain and how to find strength to do things.

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

i'm sharing this with you because the way that i dealt with it was to "try to pretend everything is ok." i had a lot of grief and anger and i kept it all in, only letting go a little bit. it caught up to me, though. knocked me on my ass years later.
if you can, see if there are grief support groups in your area. real ones with real people. if your school has a dean or counselor, they might be able to refer you to helpful resources. individual therapy is helpful, too, and there are so many different kinds, so you can find what works best for you. there are also spiritual leaders, depending upon if a dogmatic approach helps to bring you comfort, as well as spirit mediums and shamanic and energy healers if any of these paths call to you.
you are going through something profoundly painful, i know. the right support networks won't make the pain go away, but they will help you to be able to still live the life you want, and the life that your grandfather wants you to live, as well.
treasure your dreams. it is wonderful that you can still see him in this way.
take care.
In time you will be able to think about the wonderful times you've had with him and smile... It's important to let your grief out though ..... Big hug for you and a blessing.....xo
