I wish I could help, I am there too. I was on a diet/exercise program and was doing well, now, nothing. I have more time to clean house now, and do nothing. I just can't seem to get one foot in front of the other. Huggs, Rainbowmama

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! Thank you for sharing. Since my husband died 6 months ago, my house is a mess. I know it is, but I don't have any interest in normal housecleaning. It just doesn't seem important to me anymore. I'm afraid I don't even invite people over. We meet at a restaurnat or at their house. I feel terrible, but, now, my thoughts and interests are more into the apiritual and mataphysical. It's a chore just to get my bills out and the checkbook kind of brought up to date. I'm afraid I can't offer any motivational suggestions. I'm still trying to figure out where to start! Thank you for sharing.

I just try to doa little bit each day. It does make you feel better. I know your pain. I just lost my mom last week.

I do understand what you are going through and it is hard because I am still were you are and it has been over a year since my Tex has passed along with the only grandson we had at the age of 14 three months later. Hang in their and just take one day at a time

If you have to force yourself to just do one task at a time and then another and another. It will take time.

I used to have a couple of days every week where I would clean my house. Now I'm lucky I get the laundry done. And you know what? I don't care. It's a chore to get out of bed and get the kids off to school.

Boy, I sure had the same problem. What I found to help was to make a list(a short list in the begining),of chores you want to. The act of crossing out chores done is gratifying.

I am right there with you...all of you on this one. And I used to be a total neat freak...now, unfortunately, my house is a wreck...doing the basics. and barely doing that...the last time I dusted and vacuumed was in the beginning of September when I had a lot of company coming...to me, the house cleaning is so minor in the grand scheme of things...and I only learned that the hard way.

I can't believe what i just read in your post. You have just described me, totally. Since my sisiter died, I'm incapable of doing anything around the house. I try and try but it is a disaster. I thought it was just me.

Thanks everyone for making me feel like I am the not the only one. I guess it will just be one step at a time. And who really cares if the house is cleaned from top to bottom every day of the year. I will try not to fret over it.

And the pack rack - same here! I have trouble organizing and knowing what to keep and what to throw away. It will come in time I am sure. Trust is God and what He has in His plan. It will all work out and everything will be OK!

Well yes but my might sitution is differnt all I do is clean, and do crossword puzzles. Right now i gont think that is working because not only I am grieving, I have no job. I t seems like my love one is definetly in a better place.
No more worries he has to be bother. This is really hard. Wondering how long is this going to last the feeling of betrayal and guilt. Went to school and still can't find a job .

I was on a diet/exercise plan myself, but a car accident on 10/14/07 canceled that for the time being. That was helping with my motivation to work at my job, but not to get things done around the house.

As for keeping my house clean, it is a dump. I misplaced money given to me at the funeral home, my thank you lists, and many other things that I should have taken care of by now. This is the least organized I have ever been at home and my wife died January 29, 2007. I think deep down inside the lack of organization in the house has changed it to the point where I am not reminded of my wife because she used to keep the place immaculate when she was alive and able bodied. I picked up the slack while she was at home sick, but now, the house is a dump.

It's been almost 6 months since my hubby died. I have done very little arond the house also. Laundry, dishes, well they go in the dishwasher, vacuum. DOn't feel bad if you don't. Hugs to you
