Mom wasn't able to see me on my birthday for the past 8 years, they lived in another country, but she would always post some sappy sweet thing on my facebook every year. It was the only facebook wish I looked forward to. She passed away in October, before I could have another holiday, mother's day, or either of our birthdays together and I'm having a really hard time knowing I won't get that again.

The first year of special days without your mom are the hardest. Allow yourself to cry and experience whatever emotion you are feeling. Of course you are missing your mom and wondering if you will ever have a good birthday again. With time, the intense pain lessons and you will come to a place of more peace. I have been told and can say that there is truth in "the more you loved, the deeper the grief."

It's just really hard knowing that I didn't get to have any holidays, birthdays, or celebrations really for 8 years, then she was taken before we could have any again. She won't be there when I get married, she never got to meet my kitties or most of my friends. She did get to meet her grand-dog and she loved him. It's just looking at the milestones in life that she won't be there for is rough.

Mine been longer but my mom passed away days after Thanksgiving 2017 and those first special days were the hardest. We always think we have all this time and sadly as I learned you never know.

I knew she wasn't doing good but I thought I'd get one more of a few with her. She came back too late for 4th of July and was gone before Halloween. We didn't get to even have one more holiday or birthday or anything really. She was pretty much gone already by the time we went to say goodbye. It all happened so fast

I lost mom on March 7th, 2019 and had my first birthday May 26th, 2019 without her. Even though I'm approaching fifty mom and I had a mother/son relationship unlike the average one. She was also my best friend. Her and I had each others back through thick and thin. A friend told me that you never get over losing mom. I feel like I just want to start over in a new home in a new location and continue living the greatest life a guy can ever have and I owe it all to my BFF mom.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
