Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I haven't come across too many men that have anxiety issues. I have met more men that had depression though.
Thank you for liking my question. That was nice of you to say. I think men don't really like to talk about it too much. My brother has anxiety and he won't say anything about how he feels. With women I think we let it all out. I know I do. No holding back. Lol I feel like women have different amount of hormones too. So we just seem like we're more emotional and have the children to have. I haven't really met to many men with depression, but I'm sure they have it too. Thanks for commenting on my post. Have a great day! Italianmomma4ever
I think it's pretty even too. I believe with men they just don't want to talk about it. They kinda of keep it to themselves. Which I don't think is a good thing. It doesn't matter if your a women or man if you have some kind of mental illness it needs to be addressed. I think that's very sad for men to commit suicide because of work. That's a very high statistic. I'm glad that you have found the help you needed. This is a very serious health problem for both men and women. Thanks for being so honest. I'm glad your doing well. Have a great day! And thanks for your comment. Italianmomma4ever
For the strictly personal psychic and physical hurts? ? ? Is it ever safe to compare?? Even identical twins never have identical wounds, pains nor suffering. Healing is a unique journey for each and every case.
You have a big family. My mom too has 6 sisters and 4 brothers. I guess with guys the authorities would handle it different then women. So the authorities are on high alert with your brother, but treat you different. I guess your a hot mama. Lol I think everyone goes through it differently and handles it differently. As long as you reach out for help whether your a man or woman that's the first step in healing. Thanks so much for your comment. Have a wonderful day. Italianmomma4ever.
I was just thinking about what you said about women having different amounts of hormones. I think that plays a big part in anxiety. And with me having Hypothyrodism that effects your hormones also. It can make anxiety worse. I think it effects everyone differently. And just having to deal with it is a healing process that everyone goes through in their own unique way. Italianmomma4ever
I'm also glad you liked my question. Thanks! Yes I do believe more women seek help then men. I know when I have gone to the doctors I have not seen one man in there. And I have been going for about 6 years now. I definitely talk about what's on my mind and how I'm feeling. No holding back. Lol I agree with you about men not seeking help. I think they are kinda of conditioned to just suck it up. Well I say screw that!! Man or women if your having problems then you need to seek help. I give all the men that seek help a standing ovation. No shame in their game. Thanks for your comment. And I hope your feeling better. I'm thinking about you. Stay well my friend. Italianmomma4ever
Yes, I do agree with you about men having to be the stronger sex. And kinda of have to just take it all in. Like suck it up. Women I think do reach out more. I guess it's easier for a woman to talk about her problems then a man. I understand. I think statistic wise it's pretty even. But women do suffer alittle more than men. Probably because men don't feel like they can ask for help or talk about it. For all of the men that do get help I am very proud of them. It's not easy. But the benefits and rewards are worth it. Thanks so much for your comment. Have a great day. Italianmomma4ever
Men used to not be allowed to be 'vulnerable' or 'in touch with their feelings', whereas females didn't have that stigma. (Guessing here, okay?)
Nowadays with so much role reversal... I don't know...
